MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada and MUNICH, Germany– (September 15, 2003) – Certicom Corp. (TSX: CIC), a leading provider of wireless security solutions, and Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European computer company, today announced they have signed an agreement to add movianVPN™ by Certicom to Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ mobile device offerings. The strong security of movianVPN combined with the high performance, low-power technology of the Pocket LOOX handheld is designed to provide customers with the tools and confidence to securely access business critical applications and technology, while on the move.

Mobile workers need to access the corporate network and e-mail. It is no longer a corporate luxury, but a business requirement. In order to protect sensitive information, corporations must extend their existing security policies to wireless devices. The combination of Fujitsu Siemens Computers wireless products and services and Certicom’s security applications make it easier for corporations to address this business requirement.

“Fujitsu Siemens Computers relies on movianVPN for its own internal wireless security requirements. Because of the success we’ve had with movianVPN, we decided to make the same functionality available to our customers,” said Peter Esser, executive vice president volume products and supply operations at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “The Certicom Partner Network gives us and our partners access to world-class expertise and technical training to deliver high caliber security solutions, addressing our customers needs.”

Fujitsu Siemens Computers will join the top tier of the Certicom Partner Network, providing its customers with secure wireless communications while helping Certicom expand its global reach and increase sales. The agreement will see Fujitsu Siemens Computers distribute the movianVPN product for its Pocket LOOX handheld throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“Certicom’s security expertise continues to attract large, world-class partners. We are pleased that Fujitsu Siemens Computers recognizes the proven strength of our movianVPN product and as a result now bundles it with their solutions,” said Ian McKinnon, president and CEO of Certicom. “We are committed to helping our partners shape the landscape of today’s secured wireless environment, ensuring that their customers receive the highest quality solutions to protect their sensitive information.”

movian™ by Certicom is a complete suite of wireless security applications that allows users to confidently extend wireless communications across their organizations, including to critical applications such as e-mail and customer relationship management. movianVPN provides secure access to the corporate network via wireless devices.
