Wysdom Licenses Certicom's High Performance WTLS Technology to Enable Advanced Security for the Mobyle Application Platform (MAP) 

HAYWARD and SAN JOSE, Calif., January 4, 2001 - Wysdom, Inc., wireless software and infrastructure company, and Certicom (Nasdaq: CERT; TSE: CIC), a leading provider of mobile e-business security, today announced an agreement to provide secure, cutting-edge wireless applications to the financial services, media/publishing, travel and wireless telecommunications industries. Wysdom has licensed Certicom's industry leading WTLS Plus(tm) (Wireless Transport Layer Security) to enable secure communications through a variety of Internet-enabled devices, including personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones and pagers.
